Polymarket’s accusation of Kalshi for idea theft is a serious matter. It shows the cut – throat competition in the tech market.
The official facts are clear. Polymarket has an internal “Copycat” dossier. In February, Kalshi held a free event before Polymarket’s long – planned one. In April, Kalshi released news of a similar product before Polymarket’s official announcement.
The industry subtext is that there may be an insider at Polymarket leaking info. Polymarket’s security team is investigating internal weaknesses. They even darkened office windows due to the nearby Paradigm.
The supply chain in this market will be reshuffled. If Polymarket can’t solve the internal issues, Kalshi may gain an upper – hand.
